Here's a little selection of my instant snaps for all you non-Instagrammers...
Yummy vintage Liberty Tana Lawn from Stag and Bow.
A finished granny blanket, hooray! Only about four years in the making!
Drafted in an extra chair for visitors but it turned out to be a favourite with a certain cheeky ginger tom! The throw is one of two I bought in Bridport a few months ago, loving those bright 1950's dress cottons.
That delicious vintage Liberty Tana Lawn again, in the frankly super duper local Stag and Bow.
Awwww, furry love! There's nothing they like more than an afternoon sunbathe.
Pretty made-over sewing basket, happily rehomed with the very lovely Dorothy.
Guest room looking pretty.
Goodies unearthed during thrifty mooching in Exeter.
A Friday "fabric therapy" trip to Ray Stitch in Islington.
Starting something new with my vintage embroidered cutters.
My prize Exeter find! This brooch was handmade from skiver (a type of leather common to the period) and then painted, with a bell wire hanging loop. So very make do and mend, dating to the early 1940's era.
A double ta-dah!
The Munchkin's new big boy wardrobe. The reverse bears the coveted CC41 mark, showing it is a piece of utility furniture dating to around the time of the Second World War. Only £30. Who needs flat pack?
The lace dress at Southernhay House, Exeter.
Thanks for looking today, I hope you enjoyed the snaps. Why not leave me a comment, too? I must confess, I'm finding it ever harder to motivate myself to blog, hence the longer gaps emerging between posts, I guess. Hundreds of readers per post but just a handful of comments. Sad face :(
